Session fees from July 2024
Initial session: $210.00
Standard session: $180.00
Each session runs for approximately 50 minutes. You can take the time you need to discuss things fully, so you won’t leave the session feeling like you were rushed or treated as ‘just another client’.
Payment (card only) is required at the time of your appointment and you’ll be emailed a receipt.
Rebates
Medicare
To claim a Medicare rebate for your sessions, you’ll need a current Eating Disorders Plan or Chronic Disease Management Plan. The rebate is currently $60.35 per dietetic session, but you’ll receive a higher rebate if you’ve reached your safety-net threshold.
You’ll need to pay for your session in full, then your claim will be sent to Medicare and they will pay the rebate into your nominated bank account.
Health insurance
If your health insurance policy includes dietetics then you’ll likely be able to claim a rebate for your sessions.. The rebate amount will depend on your level of cover, so please check with your insurer.
You will need to pay for the session in full, then submit a claim to your health insurer. You can’t claim a rebate from Medicare and your private health for the same session.
Concession places
Diet-Free Me offers sessions at a significantly reduced cost to clients with a valid Health Care Card and Eating Disorder Plan. Concession places are not available to clients using their NDIS plan to fund their sessions. Your out-of-pocket cost will be $50.00 each session. We allocate up to 10% of our caseload to concession clients, so you may need to wait until a concession place becomes available.
NDIS
We accept clients with appropriate NDIS funding. Please get in contact with us to discuss this further.
